My Beloved Within

December 5, 2006 - My Beloved Within

My beloved is within me, day and night.

She lies down to rest like the wind,

that stirs body and mind

and powerfully blows the last leaves

from the trees.

Only gentleness can awaken her,

to then touch my soul with her radiant presence

urging it to express the infinite beauty

that comes alive in the abyss of love

where falling feels like flying

and the infinite depths transform

into infinite space.

My soul reaches out for the earthly existence

where my body wallows

in horror and contentment

like an alert tiger

hindered by the warrior

who hunts for prey

not out of necessity

but out of greed.

The brain's equations

capture the anger and pain in compartments and boxes

categorized in the history that is a grain of sand

in the desert of eternity.

The silicon in the grain reproduces

the miraculous human brainpower

in systems, fueled by energy and information,

which help us increasingly understand

how we function, assemble, assimilate

and ultimately learn who we ARE.

The drama of Godhood unfolds like a sheet,

scarlet red, like a messenger of death

following the struggle of the eternal

and recurring wrongs of warriors

seeking the holiness they always carry

in their hearts already

like seeds on the wind.

The flower fertilized by the invisible wind

is like a red rose

blossoming to open

directing the gaze to its innermost being

to there tap the source

of new life.
